Mickey Rourke is baaaack! In a big way with a steller performance in "The Wrestler!"

I was lucky enough to get my academy screener & was blown away by the film.

It was genuine and full of real emotion and Rourke gave "The performance of his life!"

On a interview with Howard Stern, Darren Arnofsky the director of "The Wrestler"

metioned that originally the studio wanted Nicolas Cage to play "Rourkes" lead role.

Darren agreed for a short-while and finally told "Cage" that he wasn't meant for this role.

Going back to Rourke and taking a smaller budget of 9 million compared to 19 with "Cage."

The gamble on "Rourke" was worth it and Darren & Rourke have now captured the audience and all the critics attention with this masterpeice. Already winning lots of awards this one

is a shoe in for an Academy Award and any other during this award season.

Congrats to the cast and crew on a great film!
